Why it looks cool: This movie has been almost globally panned as being the epitome of crap. Ironically, thats why it makes it onto the list. I've got to see it if its that bad. Obviously I won't be buying it in a hurry, but I will certainly be renting it; either thru Amazon (see link below) or perhaps via other means - although I don't think this movie is worth having the MPAA on my back about.

Fortunately it's got a runtime of below 90 mins, so its going to be one for to have on when the boys are over, the beer is flowing, and quality cinema doesn't matter so much. The next time I am in the mood for a short spell of p1ss-taking and toilet humour, this film will be in the queue. Why not?

Why it looks cool: Between 1968 and 1972, 12 men walked upon the surface of the moon. This documentary uses remastered footage to tell the story. Real life Star-Trek? You betcha. Definately worth watching; put it on the list.

Why it looks cool: Almost non-stop action, explosions and killing packed into a suitably short 1 hr 30 mins. Although it polarised the reviewers, I know I definately am going to be getting this one. If you liked any of the earlier Rambo efforts, and I did, then this is for you. Hard to believe the old geezer is this far over the hill; I guess killing is like riding a bike.

Why it looks cool: This tale of an underhanded oil-baron won two oscars and was nominated for two more. Universally acclaimed for its acting and cinematography, it was widely touted as a sparse and sprawling epic masterpiece. Its run-time is long, at 2 hrs 38mins, but I guess you can't rush grizzled prospectors when there's black gold about.

Why it looks cool: Many reviews gave high marks to Douglas for his acting in this flick. And if there's one thing I can't stand, its terrible acting. (The Happening, Im looking at you). Combining quality acting, a convenient runtime (90ish minutes), and a interesting plotline; it all sounds like a winner to me.

Why it looks cool: Another movie that garnished near-universal positive reviews. This time Moore takes on America's health care industry in his typical, inflammatory style. Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB and the other sites are good at giving high ratings to documentaries, but this certainly looks like a must-watch.

Why it looks cool: It's always cool seeing people attempt to break Vegas. Casinos are set up for you to lose everytime you walk through the door, so the story of a bunch of sharp math-whizz blackjack players trying to crack the casinos will interest anyone who has ever lost money to a casino! Also, this really happened... only Laurence Fishbourne wasn't there.
